We all saw Dom Streater win Project Runway Season 12 last week, but Lifetime is extending the season one more week and doing another reunion special with the designers from Project Runway 2013. We get to reminisce about all the cat fights and drama, mainly from Ken and Sandro. Once those two left the show, the drama seemed to fade away, right? Like her prints or not, Dom was named the winner of Project Runway Season 12 last week and I was so happy for her. She became the first African-American to win the show and she also was able to quit her jobs and focus on designing! She did talk to us last week after the victory and you can read her interview right here!
The designers are all back to talk about the season and the drama between them. We should hear a lot from both Sandro and Ken. What happened with Sandro and what made him go crazy? Why was Ken such an angry designer? Was anyone upset Dom won? Did Sue finally learn how to use a sewing machine? Was Kate upset about her shocking elimination on Project Runway 2013? All 16 designers are back for the reunion and it looks like we have some major drama and Tim Gunn is not happy!!! Helen said it is weird with everyone being in the same room together. Dom said she is ready to get her brand out there. Tim said that her win was one of the hardest decisions to make by the judges.
Tim said that the world didn’t get to see Kahindo and Angela and he is upset about that. Of course, we go back to Sandro leaving the building and punching a cameraman. Sandro said he as upset with Helen. He said all the women judges liked his work, but he had issue with Zac Posen. He said Zac is jealous of someone that is younger and better looking and more talented and babbles on and on and on. The other designers just shake their head at what he is saying. Sandro said he is a cold bitch and Tim said he is just a hot head.
Now we talk about the fights on Project Runway 2013 and it should focus on Ken. He apologizes and said he says what he says then and lets it go. Alexandria says to not hold onto negative energy, but Helen rolls her eyes at her.
Now we move on to Miranda and Timothy. They have made up since then and Miranda said it is embarrassing to watch it on television. They are supportive of each other now, since they live in the same town.
We go to the fight between Ken, Alexander, Justin and Bradon. They said it was a long day and they didn’t want to move. Ken said he would move now and they were fine and talking the next day.
Who was one of the most annoying on Project Runway 2013? Helen! I loved her looks, but she was always questioning herself and asking questions. She said she doesn’t think she gets herself worked up. What??? She said she was menstrual twice. She said there were plenty of meltdowns and doesn’t know why she was the main target of them.
The designers said the time was the hardest thing on this season. Making these looks in eight hours. They didn’t sleep for six weeks. Dom said it was fun and she went into every challenge wondering what she will do on this challenge.
We take a look at the interviews with the designers and how they talk bad about everyone. It is funny to see and the designers have a good laugh.
Would they change anything? Ken said he would have come in with a professional attitude and things could have gone totally different for him. Helen tried to get past the drama and look past it, but she doesn’t understand why Alexandria has so much hate for her. Alexandria said she held no animosity toward anyone. Helen keeps trying to push at her, but it makes her look stupid. They all say bad things about each other, so why call her out?
The Tim Gunn Save was a new on Project Runway Season 12 and he used it on Justin, which everyone seemed to support. We watch it again and I cry once again! Ken said it was probably the best thing and no one was mad at him.
We look at some tweets from the designers and Jeremy called Bradon out for his proposal on the runway and it was for an Oscar. It is an awkward moment. Ken tweeted out that the judges had favorites and they seem to agree. Alexander then says the season was rigged and they all fit into some kind of character. Ken said that things have to be thought out and drama to happen to get ratings and Tim is getting pissed! Tim said he is completely wrong. He said they believe in the designers and see where they take it. Sandro said that the producers ask all the questions and the judges look them up. Tim said it is crazy to think they do that.
Kate said she is grateful for both seasons and she was surprised that she made friends this season. People come up to Ken and said he isn’t as crazy as they thought he was. Timothy said that people come up to him and say he is as crazy as they thought and a lot of 13 year old girls like unicorns!
To be honest, I loved the designers on Season 12 and this reunion made me not like a lot of them now. What do you think?
